When I came up with the idea for a new form of social media focused on the growth and success of teens, my vision was a complete departure from what the world had become accustomed to. I, like so many others, was exhausted with the tired model of the online popularity contest teenagers were surrounded by, and I felt it was time for change. I knew there were millions of people all over the world putting effort towards incredible achievements, but where was their platform? Where was their voice? How would they be found?

This was the catalyst behind Klybourne. Our aim is to uncover the hard work, the talent, the skill, the drive, the goals, and the ambition of millions across the globe, no matter what field and no matter what interest. To take those achievements that make us stand tall and place them on an online platform where they can be found by colleges, universities, hiring agencies, and employers. We want to humanize the experience of the next generation looking to advance in life….to put a person behind the words, a picture behind the resume, a voice behind the numbers. We also want today’s businesses and universities to have an online venue that allows them to see the true story behind the next generation.

Klybourne’s focus is connecting today’s students, innovators, entrepreneurs, athletes and everyday people. It’s about sharing who you are and what you’ve done with the people and institutions that matter most, and doing so through a clean, simple, safe, and easy-to-use interface. One that focuses specifically on teens and how they can start building their future, while also having the opportunity to be inspired and educated by our library of valuable resources. Our aim is to motivate and encourage, so that each user has a chance at success and the ability to thrive, no matter what direction their life takes them.

Klybourne is about authenticity. It’s not about counting “likes”or the amount of followers someone has. Our focus is on our members creating the best version of themselves and showing those that matter most the work they’ve put in to become the person they are. More specifically, it’s where we look to improve the experience of college entry, job search, promoting yourself, and simply boosting your own online resume and presence. Along with giving our members a platform to be heard, we also want to motivate and educate through our library of resources, which focus on topics such as health, fitness, financial education, academics, athletics, and charities.

Yes, our aim is to connect our users with their futures, but we also want to inspire, educate, and encourage all our members, all while doing it in a way that shows humility and professionalism.
